were “spot color”. Though the technological advances and
decreased costs of four color printing has affected spot
color’s prominence in the industry, it remains a common
application to print 1 or 2 spot or (Pantone™) colors in many
types of products, including letterhead, business cards,
plain and carbonless forms, note pads, billing statements,
leaflets, brochures, tickets, and mail pieces.
